Yeah I fish and have the RC hobby too. At one time towerhobbies sold a RTR bass boat but it’s discontinued now.

I saw this on a fishing show .Had to laugh, kept thinking what would happen if you caught the big one . By by boat! They were catching sunnys by the the dock ,it looked fun . Dont think I would spend a lot of money on this.Good luck!

I am sorry to burst your bubble but the thing your talking about sucks. It gets up to only 2 lbs. If your making this with your kids, then that is a different story. I just wanted to say this.? I hope I am not hurting your feelings

i dont have much of an answer about the plans, but your plan in general is awesome, i would look into a premade electric rc boat though, the balsa will have to be counter weighted a lot to keep it steady, you dont want it taking on water while you got a fish on…., most r/c boats can right themselves if they turn over.. you could go for some replica wood boat plans and scale them down to size, that might work… great idea……

That is hilarious! I saw that avia post, and thought…nope, not going to get it.

I guess if you want to get your boat to the fish quicker, you might look into scaled down unlimited hydroplane boats. They are FAST, and could certainly take up plenty of slack line in a hurry.

They flip too!
